Colours of India Show - A celebration of the Indian Diaspora The first Colours of India Show (COI), highlighting Children’s Day celebrations was held at Mississauga Convention Centre on Nov 14, 2014. The evening was a montage of culture and heritage which enthralled a house full of patrons in the very first year of the event. Showcasing the richness of culture through art, handicrafts, , spirituality, food and fashion from different regions of the country, it was a beautiful India under one roof.
Anjali Thorve founder of COI, envisioned a spotlight on the tradition and diversity of her Indian roots to encourage the children and youth of Canada to participate in, and learn of the vibrant Indian culture and traditions. Indian Art, fashion, Dance and Drama has integrated with the artistry of the Modern times. The blend of fashion and art is seen through the creative collection and work of the designers, jewellers, hair and makeup artists and the vendors at the event. www.coloursofindiashows.com
